Cleansers

A professional-grade facial cleanser can make or break a skincare regime if mismatched to a person’s skin type. Facial cleansers are designed to remove dirt, debris and makeup from the skin with professional-grade cleansers adding any number of ingredients to achieve certain results.

Cleansers are available in a variety of forms: cream cleansers, which are ideal for dry and sensitive skin types; gel cleansers that are perfect for normal and oily/acne skin types; and cleansing milks that are designed for all skin types. Many such cleansers are pH-balanced, which does away with the need for a toner.

A professional cleanser should be applied to damp skin and massaged for up to two minutes, then rinsed off with tepid water. Hot water should never be used for rinsing off facial cleanser, as the heat can strip the skin of its natural moisture. Professional-grade skincare cleansers are designed to be used twice a day, at morning and at night.
