Sodium Hyaluronate

What is Sodium Hyaluronate?

Sodium Hyaluronate is the sodium salt derivative of Hyaluronic Acid. Possessing a small molecular weight, Sodium Hyaluronate is able to penetrate more deeply into the skin.  Hyaluronic Acid is a larger molecule that penetrates your skin’s top layer, while binding water to the top of the skin. Sodium Hyaluronate is able to get down into the dermal layers.  It binds water and nutrients deep down while attracting water to plump the skin. Skin is supple, hydrated and incredibly smooth. Because Sodium Hyaluronate is able to swell in the skin by binding the water, skin is plumped for a smooth, wrinkle-free surface.

Sodium Hyaluronate also plays an important role in healing wounds, as it safely transports various growth factors and peptides to injured tissue. This allows for proper healing and tissue repair. Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) retain water in the skin, keeping skin properly hydrated. Sodium Hyaluronate, an NMF found within the skin, allows skincare products containing this humectant to protect skin from losing trans-epidermal water loss. This provides incredible wrinkle-reducing attributes for the skin. An added benefit is Sodiumn Hyaluronate’s ability to help extremely dry skin from flaking. Continued use of skin care products containing Sodium Hyaluronate will provide anti-aging, wrinkle-smoothing and exceptional moisturizing benefits for all skin types.
