Stem Cells

What are Stem Cells?

Stem Cells are cells that reside in our body, serving as a sort of internal repair system, dividing without limit to replenish other cells. Stem Cells are essential in skin rejuvenation, including in the basal layer of the epidermis. Stem Cells have been a breakthrough in modern technological aspects of skin care, being recognized for advanced anti-aging benefits through the regeneration of skin cells.

Stem Cells provide nutrition to our cell structure, which helps with adipose tissue (the fatty layer that cushions the skin in the dermal layer) and keeps your skin plump and firm. When it comes to Stem Cells, think of fortifying the skin structure, encouraging regrowth and rejuvenation to reverse aging skin. Stem Cells can be found in a many quality anti-aging skincare creams and serums.

Stem Cells come in two forms: Human Stem Cells and Plant Stems Cells. The breakdown in the Stem Cell world of plant cells versus human cells goes like this: Plant Stem Cells are derived from an extract of the actual plant source. Although Plant Stem Cells are an effective treatment in skin renewal, they're not nearly as potent or stabilized as Human Stem Cells, but still provide a moderate amount of improvements in reversing aging skin. Plant Stem Cells can encourage ample hydration, firming and smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles.

Human Stem Cells are, in fact, harvested from adults and have more of an impact on the production of the Growth Factor medium for Stem Cells. In a symbiotic relationship, Growth Factors are derived from Stem Cells while Stem Cells receive nutritional value from Growth Factors. Human Stem Cells have more impact on reversing aging skin than Plant Stem Cells.

Anti aging and (sct) skincare stem cell technology

There are many elements, both internal and external, that can cause skin to age. Environmental pollution, sun related photo damage and even individual genetics can play a part. As we get older, everything starts to slow down, including our skin cell turnover rate and the regeneration of new skin cells. During this time, usually beginning after turning age 50, the epidermis starts to slow down the process of shedding skin cells. Skin also starts to lose it's elasticity and it tends to thin out, which causes sagging and age spots to start appearing and to become more noticeable. Rather than getting...
